7th edition of Social Business Exposure Program (SBEP) fall 2017 held on 24-25 November at the Permanent Campus of Daffodil International University (DIU). The program was organized by Social Business Students’ Forum (SBSF), DIU. 40 participants from Bangladesh, Somalia, Sri Lanka & Taiwan also took part in this program. The whole program was organized upholding SBSF’s motto ‘learn with fun’ encouraging young people to become social business entrepreneurs and contribute to the world, rather than just making money. In the morning session on 24th November, Mr. Faisal Bin Abul Kasem President, SBSF welcomed the participants and Mr. A.K.M. Zaid Uddin, Assistant pProgram officer; Yunus Centre conducted a session entitled “Social Business-101” where participants learned about basics of social business and how to design social business. Later on there was another session titled “Design for Social Business (D4SB)” where participants designed business ideas working on groups and presented them. They designed excellent business ideas like cyclic education, waste management etc. Best business idea won cash prize too. In the evening Mr. Kazi Mesbah Ur Rahman, Co-founder, SBSF introduced participants with DIU social business initiatives and Mr. Ejaj-Ur-Rahaman Shajal, Lecturer, Dept. of BA, DIU conducted a session on Art of Living titled “Understanding Cost of Unhappiness & Gross National Happiness” to create a better world through Social Entrepreneurship. There were arrangements for different sports such as cricket, football and basketball. Main attraction was a cricket match between Bangladeshi students and Sri Lankan students and this wonderful day ended with a tremendous BBQ party and campfire.
