Two startups get fund from DIU Social Business Design Lab

The 1st DIU Social Business Design Lab organized by Social Business Centre, Daffodil International University (DIU) took place on 30th January 2017 at the Conference Room of Daffodil Business Incubation Building .The Design Lab was chaired by Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, BoT,DIU. Special attendees include Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, DIU, Major General Jiban Kanai Das (Retd) Country Director, Sir William Beveridge Foundation, Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed Assistant Commissioner (Retd) Customes, Excise and VAT, Ruprekha Banoo Ex-Principle, Angles Kindergarten School, Chittagong, Hasan Ali, President Ageing Support Forum, Rtn PP Kazi Habibur Rahman , MD, MRM Footwear, Industries, A.K.M. Zaid Uddin, Assistant Program Officer, Yunus Centre
Three new business plan named Doyal Garments, Rickshaw Service and Entrepreneurs 360 business plans from Brahmanbaria , Sylhet, and Dhaka were presented this design lab.
All business plans were presented and discussed in detail. Those were then presented in groups for further review. Two projects were approved for funding by reviewers and experts. The businesses will be joint ventures between the business owner and the social business fund provider. Their progress will be monitored by Uddyakta Monitoring System (UMS).
